An airy living space

A choppy footprint and dark, heavy finishes had outstayed their welcome in this Southern Federal style home. Space was unnecessarily allocated to the formal areas leaving for a tight kitchen and unusable family room. The main focus was to open up the floor plan and widen doorways.
